The Republic of Khakassia is located in Eastern Europe, on the left bank of the Yenisei river. This is a real paradise for botanist and geographers for there are all landscape natural zones from highland tundra to semidesert. The major rock massif in Khakassia is the Eastern Sayan. Its territory extends through the main geographical zones. From botanists' point of view each zone is divided into 4 vertical layer: trees, shrubs, herbs and moss. The presenter of RTG TV Igor Maximenko found out what layer the Golden Rhododendron grows in, as well as examined the flora of highland, visited the terrace of taiga forests and learnt the secret of globeflower that grow in meadows.
